This is a stunning piece for nature lovers, collectors, or anyone who appreciates unique art. It's a real, ethically sourced Vestalis Luctuosa dragonfly – known for its incredible sapphire blue iridescence – preserved and displayed in a beautiful shadowbox frame.
The frame is 7 inches high by 5 inches wide and about 1.25 inches deep, giving it a nice presence on your wall without being overwhelming. It comes with a classic black frame (a white frame is available if you request it). The specimen is mounted on a parchment-style background with its scientific name elegantly printed, giving it that authentic museum or naturalist feel.
The front glass is 99% UV-blocking conservation glass, which protects the delicate colors of the dragonfly from fading in sunlight. The whole thing is sealed with advanced clear silicon for double protection against dust and moisture. It's a captive-raised specimen, prepared with premium preservation techniques.
It comes ready to hang and makes an absolutely unique gift for a biologist, a fan of entomology, or someone with a taste for elegant, conversation-starting decor. This isn't a cheap plastic replica – it's a genuine piece of natural art, presented with care and quality.
