With a 12mm focal length, it's a great mid-power eyepiece for observing planets like Jupiter and Saturn, lunar details, or star clusters. The 'Dual ED' refers to the two Extra-Low Dispersion glass elements in its 6-lens design, which helps reduce color fringing (chromatic aberration) and delivers sharper, more contrasty images. It has a comfortable 60-degree apparent field of view, letting you see more of the sky without moving the scope as much. A huge plus is the long 20mm eye relief, which is fantastic for eyeglass wearers – you can see the full view without pressing your glasses right against the lens.
